• The power wires are usually connected by solderless connectors called wire nuts.
• Use solderless connectors ( also called wire nuts ) to join the wires together.
• Remove the solderless connectors then restore power to the circuit.
• Instead they have wire leads connected to the circuit wires with solderless connectors, wire nuts.
• Use solderless connector to join the circuit wires to the respective wire leads on the dimmer switch.
• Twist the three wires together and cap the connection with a solderless connector ( a wire nut ).
• To connect the wires with solderless connectors make a mechanical connection by twisting together the bare ends of the wires.
• Unscrew the solderless connectors, being careful not to touch the bare wires, then probe the wires with a circuit tester to make sure the power is indeed off.
